Investigating Enzymes kit provides students with the experience of working with enzymes. Aside from the basic assay, students will examine the effect of pH, inhibitors, and temperature on enzyme activity. Materials included are sufficient for 15 student groups and include:

1 Bottle of Substrate (60 ml of 50 mM lactic acid)

1 Bottle of Buffer (60 ml of 200 mM Tris, pH 8)

1 Set of buffers (pH 5, 6, 7, 9)

1 Bottle of Water (125 ml)

1 Set of inhibitors

Two empty Diluted Enzyme tubes

Four vials of 1.5 ml lyophilized Enzyme Concentrate

16 vials of 1.5 ml lyophilized PMS/INT/NAD

250 reaction tubes (tall 4 ml plastic tubes)

15 vials of water (2 ml) for student groups

200 empty reagent vials (2 ml) for student groups

200 Transfer pipettes
