Our 15 ml Polycarbonate Vials are intended for researchers requiring pooled samples for analysis or those homogenizing larger (> than sample mass?) samples. The vials were originally designed for the difficult job of dry grinding 15 lyophilized corn kernels for field trials. They are very durable and can be submersed into liquid nitrogen and immediately used for homogenizing.
Each case includes 100 Polycarbonate Vials with our Silicone Lined Caps, which may be used for both cryogenic and ambient processing and with liquid samples where potential leakage may be a concern. Our 15 ml vials work best with 7/16” stainless steel grinding balls, sold separately.
