Many biomolecules are light sensitive. It is recommended to store in amber vials. These vials have a rich, dark color that absorbs multiple light waves, including UV light. The serum vials are made of borosilicate glass making it much less susceptible to thermal shock and highly resistant to breakage and acidic solutions. These vials have been tested to withstand the thermal changes associated with typical freeze-drying runs. The vials, when coupled with our rubber stoppers, can seal content under vacuum.
