The 4 ml Polycarbonate Vials are designed for homogenization of hard tissues such as kernels, roots, seeds, and animal tissues. They can be used in a high throughput format. These vials provide a durable container for handling and preserving tissue samples during the assay process. These vials are compatible with liquid nitrogen use, but not organic solvents such as phenol and chloroform. View our Polyethylene Vials for organic solvent use. Vials should be placed in AC Blocks for cryogenic grinding. Adapters are available for the TissueLyser or Retsch homogenizers.

Each vial has a working volume of 2 ml of buffer and is suitable for homogenizing up to 200 mg of sample. Recommended for use with 3/8” Stainless Steel Grinding Balls and 5/16” Stainless Steel Grinding Balls (not included).

Sold in cases of (240) 4 ml Polycarbonate Vials with Unlined Polypropylene Screw Caps.

For more specific information regarding sample processing, please consult the Selection of Grinding Vials for Sample Processing and Bead Beating: A Primer.
