500 micron Acid Washed Garnet
Useful for shreading leaf and tissues, 500 µm acid washed garnet is a good choice for standard laboratory applications. Garnet serves as an economical aid in effective bead beating. Garnet in conjuction with 6 mm zirconium grinding satellites are highly successful at breaking down hard to bead beat tissue such as pig skin and sclera. Acid washed garnet is treated with acidified water to remove fine particles, dust, and other impurities typically found in untreated beads. They are further baked to drive off organic impurities.
