800 micron Acid Washed Silica Beads
Useful for disrupting fungi and pollen by bead beating, 800 µm acid washed silica beads are a good choice for standard laboratory applications. Silica beads are more economical than zirconium silicates and oxides, while often as effective. Acid washed silica beads are treated with acidified water to remove fine particles, dust, and other impurities typically found in untreated beads. They are further baked to drive off organic impurities.
If you are looking to use 800-micron silica beads in the alpha-synuclein seed assay, we are currently beta testing pre-loaded plates for this assay. If you are interested in evaluating a pre-loaded plate and/or provide input on the product, please contact us through this link.
