Trehalose, Lyophilization Certified, is the other. Both Trehalose and Sucrose are disaccharides, which are effective at maintaining the integrity of biological systems when dehydrated in the freeze-drying process.
Sucrose, Lyophilization Certified, is lot tested to ensure its effectiveness. Sucrose is widely used and significantly less expensive than Trehalose.
